Hostage-taker’s brother denies conspiracy rap

MANILA, Philippines – The brother of the hostage-taker in the hostage-taking incident in Manila last August 23 that gained notoriety for the Aquino government’s botched rescue, SPO2 Gregorio Mendoza, appeared at the preliminary investigation for the charge of conspiracy to commit serious illegal detention filed against him by the Manila Police.
